What can you expect from us?

De Vlindertuin is located within walking distance (1.5 km) of the ferry and the town center (250 m). We therefore leave bike rentals to the specialists on the ferry dock and in the village. In the street behind the Butterfly Garden, there are several shops where you can buy fresh produce. We do have a shared cupboard where guests can leave their non-perishable and unopened products so that new tourists can still enjoy them. This way, we also contribute to reducing food waste.

Bed, bath, and kitchen linens are included. If you are staying for 7 days, you can change bath and kitchen linens during the stay. If you are staying for 2 weeks, you can pick up new bed linens at the reception.

A starter pack contains 3 toilet rolls, soap, an extra garbage bag, dish soap, and 2 dishwasher tablets.

Additional services/products that can be ordered:

1) Made bed €12.50, extra bed €30 per stay, crib including linen €15, and a high chair can be requested free of charge.

2) Breakfast buffet can be booked daily before 4:00 PM, in advance via the website or at reception. Prices are: €18.50 for adults and children 12 years and older, €9.50 for children 4-11 years old, and free for children under 3 years old.

3) Use the luggage room and lockers (free of charge) for early arrival and/or departure day. Bike rental companies on the island often offer free luggage transport. They will place your belongings in our luggage rack. You can arrange a time for luggage collection with the bike rental company. Please note: In that case, please place your luggage by the baggage claim door so it is clearly marked as being yours.

4) Late checkout. Would you like to stay in your apartment from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM instead of 10:00 AM? This is possible for a fee of €25. A stay until 7:00 PM is available for €45. This can only be booked on-site, subject to availability. During peak season, late check-out until 7:00 PM is rarely possible.

5) In case of technical problems or inconvenience, please contact our reception. The number is in the information folder of each apartment.

6) Gas and charcoal BBQ for general use on the communal terrace (free of charge). You must provide your own charcoal.

7) Finnish sauna and infrared cabin in the courtyard (free of charge). Swimwear required, towels provided.

8) Laundry (free of charge); please bring your own detergent.
