By ferry

The crossing to Ameland is by ferry with Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten. Tickets can be booked online in advance. We recommend booking as early as possible. Travel times and timetables vary by season. For the most up-to-date information, please visit the Wagenborg Passagiersdiensten website.

Public transport

Travelling by public transport? From the mainland you travel by train and bus to the ferry port in Holwerd, where the ferry to Ameland departs. On Ameland, buses connect the villages. For up-to-date travel information and timetables, visit 9292.nl.

Your stay

Reception

Our receptionist is available between 15:00–16:00. If you arrive later, you will find the information in the arrival box at the front of the reception.

Luggage

Use of the luggage room and lockers (free of charge) on early arrival and/or on your day of departure. See the facilities on the map for their locations. Are you using the free luggage transport? Then place your luggage by the door of the luggage hall so it is clear that it needs to be taken.

Included in your stay

Bed, bath and kitchen linen is included. If you stay for 7 days, you can exchange your bath and kitchen linen during your stay; for 2 weeks, you collect fresh bed linen at reception. You will receive a starter pack with 3 toilet rolls, a bar of soap, an extra bin bag, washing-up liquid and 2 dishwasher tablets.

  • Finnish sauna and infrared cabin in the inner garden (free of charge; swimwear required outside).
  • Gas and charcoal BBQ on the shared terrace (free of charge; bring your own charcoal).
  • Launderette (free of charge; please bring your own detergent).
  • Sharing cupboard for non-perishable products: together against food waste.

Breakfast buffet

During midweek holidays, the breakfast buffet is included. It can also be booked separately for €18,50 (ages 4 to 11 €9,50; ages 0 to 3 free). Breakfast is served from 8:00–10:30 (until 11:00 on Sundays) in the breakfast room, the inner garden or on your own terrace.

Check-out

Check-out is until 10:00. Late check-out until 12:00 is possible for €30,-; until the end of the day for €45,- (subject to availability). Rather skip the cleaning? Then choose the Lazy checkout (€37,50): we strip the beds, take out the rubbish and do the dishes, so all you take is your suitcase.

Pets

Pets are allowed in 20 of the 24 apartments. Please check carefully which apartment you choose when booking. On the ground floor there is no weight limit for your dog. For a first-floor apartment your dog is welcome as long as it can climb the stairs by itself, even a heavier dog.

Optional extras

  • Bed made up €12.50 · extra bed €30 (per stay).
  • Cot including linen €15 · high chair free of charge.
  • Housekeeping (30 min/day): €30 for a 1–2-person apartment, €45 for a larger apartment.

Bikes

We leave bike rental to the specialists at the ferry pier and in the village. They often offer free luggage transport as well.
